Obey - Shepard Fairey est un artiste graphique américain et un activiste social. Il est membre du mouvement Street Art, tout comme Keith Haring And Jean-Michel Basquiat before him.
Obey - Shepard Fairey partage sa critique politique et sociale à travers des fresques et des espaces publics. Son portrait emblématique Hope (2008) by candidate Barack Obama is probably his best-known work.
Countryside Obey (1992), started while attending the Rhode Island School of Design.
Frank Shepard Fairey was born on February 15, 1970 in Charleston, South Carolina. The artist borrows graphic styles from the 20th century, blurring the lines between high art and commercial art. His work is in the collections of the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
